In the Fall of 2009, myself along with my partner Phil Telio of Embrase, carved out an idea for an event that would better expose and encourage the commercialization of innovation taking place in early stage communications companies. From there, StartupCamp Telephony born. And in January of 2010, we proudly launched the inaugural StartupCamp in Miami, in connection with TMC at the IT Expo event.

StartupCamp Telephony was created to both provide a mantle piece for early stage innovators in the telephony industry and to encourage more entrepreneurs that their ideas can be commercialized. The giants in mobile, cable, voice and business telephony need a place to find the companies that can drive their innovation requirements; StartupCamp Telephony offers the most innovative ideas a place to pitch their vision.

This event is dedicated to everything Startup in emerging communications. It is the forum where early stage companies, investors and industry experts alike can share information and validate pitches in realtime.
